Why Sleep Hygiene Isn’t Fixing Your Sleep (And What Actually Will)

Feel like you’ve tried it all?

No screens at night, magnesium supplements, a lavender pillow spray. But you’re still tossing and turning. Here’s why: You’re treating surface symptoms, not the root cause.

Sleep hygiene is a starting point. But for so many of the entrepreneurs I work with, it only scratches the surface.

Because your brain doesn’t just need blackout curtains. It needs to feel safe.

If your nervous system is stuck in a stress response, even low-grade background noise, it’s not going to let you drift into deep, restful sleep. No matter how perfect your nighttime routine looks.

That’s why I focus on nervous system training with my clients. We look at the deeper drivers of broken sleep: Chronic stress, lack of movement, emotional overload, mental overstimulation.

Often, their nervous system is completely dysregulated, either stuck “on” all the time or shut down for longer stretches.

You can’t fix that just with a sleep hygiene checklist.

You need regulation.
You need recovery.
You need restoration.
And sometimes, you need activation.

Sleep hygiene helps the surface and can act as support. But real sleep transformation starts when your nervous system feels safe again.

Curious what’s really keeping you up at night?

Let’s find the root cause together.
