Ever woken up feeling great… only for your watch to tell you your sleep sucked?
That’s a sign you’ve let a computer override your own perception.
Do you decide how your sleep was? Or do you let a wearable, ring, band, or watch… dictate how much energy you’re “allowed” to have?
I once had a client tell me: “I actually felt really good when I woke up… but then I saw my sleep score was low. Now I don’t know anymore.”
That right there is the problem.
We’ve outsourced our inner sense to computers. We check our watches before we check in with ourselves.
And sometimes, it only adds more anxiety around sleep.
Here’s the truth: no tracker is 100% accurate. Yes, HRV and sleep stages can show helpful trends, but that’s what they are: Trends.
- Don’t obsess over night-by-night scores
- Zoom out. Look at patterns over weeks or months
- Most importantly, check in with your body first
Your body is your most honest tracker. Learn to trust it again.
Need help reconnecting to your internal signals, and learning nervous system tests that actually work?
That’s what I do. Let’s chat.
